Pool Table Repairs & Levelling
Balls drifting to one side, a cushion with no bounce, or a pocket coming apart? We can assess the problem and work out what needs fixing. A table that plays badly doesn't automatically need new cloth or new rubber.
Start with the problem, not a replacement part
Levelling, cushion work and pocket repairs solve different problems. Tell us what the table is doing, when it started and whether it was recently moved. One full-table photo, close-ups and a short video of the problem are a useful start.
Loose hardware, frame damage and slate issues need their own assessment. We'll check the table and the repair options before promising a result.
What cushion replacement involves
Re-rubbering means replacing the cushions beneath the rail cloth. For confirmed cushion work, the rails are removed or collected, taken to the shop, stripped and prepared for the new rubber. The adhesive needs time to cure before the rails are returned and installed.
The rail cloth has to come off, so cloth work is normally part of the job too. We'll distinguish a rail-cloth job from a full bed-and-rail recover in the quote.
Need a written condition report?
We also offer a pool-table inspection report. Tell us why the report is needed and who it's for. Any specific requirements need to be checked before booking; the report is not the same as approving repairs or guaranteeing the table's future condition.

Pool Table Repairs & Levelling questions
Is a ball rolling off always a levelling problem?
No. Levelling may be the answer, but movement in the slate, frame or floor can cause similar symptoms. Let us know whether the problem started after a move, flooring work or on its own. We need to understand the cause before choosing the repair.
How can I tell whether the cushions need replacing?
Weak or uneven rebound is a reason to investigate, not a diagnosis. Send a short video comparing the problem rail with one that seems normal. We'll check the rail and cushion details; an inspection may be needed before we recommend new rubber.
Can you diagnose it from photos?
Photos can help identify the table, obvious damage and likely parts. They can't show every fault. If there isn't enough information to give a sensible answer, we'll explain what needs checking in person.
Can you replace a pocket or find missing parts?
We can look into it. Send the table brand and model, a full-table photo and close-ups of the pocket or missing part. Fit and availability need to be checked; parts aren't universal across tables.
Can damaged slate be repaired?
It needs assessment. Send photos of the damage and the table details. We'll look at the practical options, which may include replacement, before saying whether the table can be put back into proper playing condition.
What changes the cost of a repair?
The fault, parts, table construction, access and the labour involved. Cushion replacement can also involve shop work, cloth and a return visit. Those parts of the job should be clear before you commit.
Is it worth repairing an older table?
Sometimes, absolutely. Age alone isn't a reason to replace it. We'll consider its overall condition, what the repair will achieve and the cost compared with replacement. If a smaller repair is all it needs, there's no reason to sell you a bigger job.
