Energy is for the player who wants both specialist shots in one cue, with a carbon-fibre shaft and a cue-body design that goes beyond its colour. For the Blue and Pink versions, Little Monster describes a laminated hard-maple core with a forged-carbon exterior, aiming for a more consistent response through the cue body during the stroke.
Why the construction matters
For those Blue and Pink versions, little Monster describes the laminated maple core as a way to reduce the effect of natural wood-density variation on force transmission. The forged-carbon exterior is intended to add rigidity. Those are design intentions for the cue body; the supplied front shaft is carbon fibre.
Two specialist roles in the setup
Energy is sold for breaking and jumping, alongside a regular playing cue. The Blue and Pink versions use a three-piece format, with a shaft and two butt sections, so the configuration can change with the shot. Their quick-release connection also makes assembly and packing away more convenient.
